Pope Francis to undergo Colon Surgery in Rome Hospital

As per the trusted reports from the credible sources of information, Pope Francis had to go through a surgery for an abnormal narrowing of his large intestine, in a hospital that is located in Rome.

Age of the Pope is 84 years and his body reacted well to the surgery of the abdomen as said in a statement which was made by the director of the Holy See’s press office, named Matteo Bruni.The surgery was conducted at a hospital in Rome, which is named as A. Gemelli Polyclinic. It was performed by Dr. Sergio Alifieri. The Pope was given anesthesia during the time of operation.

Just before the day of the surgery, an announcement was made by Bruni that the Pope is planning to undergo an operation for a symptomatic diverticular stenosis of the colon, the next day. As per the trusted reports, Stenosis is condition which causes the abnormal narrowing of the large intestine.The announcement made by Bruni, that the was entering the hospital came after the was seen in public appearance before the crowds in St. Peter’s Square.

In the previous week, at a regular public appearance, the Pope asked the people to make special prayers for himself. During the same event, he further announced his plans of visiting Slovakia and Hungary in the month of September in 2021. Francis is an Argentina-born Roman Catholic pontiff, who has been elected as the first  of America in the year 2013. He is a successor of German-born Benedict XVI, who retired because of his growing age.
